Valencia, CA — Cicoil has introduced low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) sin- gle-conductor cables for applications that require nontoxic, corrosive-free, low-smoke, flame-retardant, zero- halogen content and environmentally friendly cables. The single-conductor’s ultra-flex wire and outer Flexx-Sil™ rubber jacketing material has been tested by a UKAS-certified lab for smoke, toxicity, flammability, and halogen content, and the cable passed. Typically, electrical cables man-
ufactured with PVC, neoprene and fluoropolymers require the addition of halogens to make them flame-retar- dant and to withstand high tempera- tures. However, when cables contain- ing halogens are burned, toxic fumes and acidic gases (when bonded with hydrogen) are produced, which sear the eyes, nose, mouth and throat, and can cause severe respiratory damage, disorientation and even death.

jacketing material contains zero halogens, no additives and by nature is flame retardant (HFFR), so the cables are the safer alternative to those manufactured with harmful halogens. Due to its mixture of mate- rials, the ultra-pure Flexx-Sil does not ignite easily, and if ignited, will not produce black smoke or toxic gas
during combustion. In addition, Cicoil’s crystal-clear, non-corrosive jacket does not contain color addi- tives, plasticizers or CFCs, which are typically found in most cable jacket- ing materials. The Hi-Flex unshielded single-
conductor cable is available from 30 to 4 AWG in continuous lengths, cut to order, or as assemblies complete with lugs or a choice of connectors and 100 percent tested and inspect- ed. Larger and smaller AWG ver- sions, as well as modified jacket thickness, are available by request. Rated for voltages up to 42,000

VDC, Cicoil’s contaminant-free power cable is extremely durable, performs exceptionally well in extreme temper- ature conditions, meets the air clean- liness requirements of ISO 146441 and exceeds the outgassing require- ments of ASTM E595. The non-particulate-generating

cable is Class 1 cleanroom rated and is cured continuously, with no debris or material contamination in an automated, climate-controlled envi- ronment. In addition, the cable pass- es UL/CSA VW-1, FT 1 & FT 2, UL 94V-0 flammability testing and FAA
burn testing. Contact: Cicoil, 24960 Avenue

Fort Lauderdale, FL — KEMET Corporation has debuted a complete capacitance and voltage offering for the KC-LINK™ ceramic surface mount capacitors in the EIA 3640 case size. The high ripple current capabil-
ities make KC-LINK capacitors excellent for use with fast-switching wide bandgap (WBG) semiconduc- tors, which enables power converters to operate at higher voltages, tem- peratures and frequencies, and achieve higher efficiency levels and greater power density. The devices are suitable for use in DC-Link, snubber and resonant applications. KC-LINK capacitors are avail-
able with capacitance values ranging from 4.7 to 220 nF and voltage ranges of 500 to 1,700V. These devices utilize KEMET’s
robust Class I C0G base metal elec- trode (BME) dielectric technology, giving them superior capacitance stability over temperature and volt- age combined with high ripple cur- rent capability. The capacitors exhibit extreme-

ly low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and equivalent series induc- tance (ESL). With an operating tem- perature range of –67 to +302°F (–55 to +150°C), KEMET’s KC-LINK capacitors can be mounted near fast- switching semiconductors in high- density power applications. KC-LINK capacitors are also

suitable for resonant converters and wireless chargers in cloud computing and charging electric vehicles. These often require very low capacitance shift over operating conditions. The high mechanical robustness allows the capacitor to be mounted without the use of lead frames. Available in both commercial
and automotive (AEC-Q200) grades, this series is lead-free, and RoHS- and REACH-compliant. To further increase power densi-
ty, KEMET has developed KON- NEKT™, which uses transient liquid phase sintering (TLPS) technology to create a leadless multi-chip solution. When combined with KEMET’s KC- LINK, KONNEKT enables a low-loss, low-inductance package capable of handling extremely high ripple cur-
rents in the hundreds of kilohertz. Contact: KEMET Electronics,
