December, 2019 Business Briefs e-tronix Now Offers Nathan Trotter
NT100Ge Solder St. Louis Park, MN — e-tronix, the exclusive North American representative for Nathan Trotter, has confirmed the composition of Nathan Trotter’s NT100Ge solder bar and wire products to be equivalent to that of well-known SN100C®. The analysis, commissioned by e-tronix and performed by independ- ent test laboratory DfR Solutions, evaluated NT100Ge alongside the two most prevalent SN100C brands. As tested, all three solders were within the SN100C alloy composition specification range for primary constituents, with the excep- tion of germanium, which, by design, exists in higher concentration in the NT100Ge alloy. The additional germanium, according to the report, should lengthen the solder pot life through reducing in-process solder oxidation and resulting in less dross formation. Web:

in France Amiens, France — Technic has purchased a new chemical production facility in Amiens, France. The acquisition will enable Technic to expand production of its semiconductor products and better serve the growing customer base in Europe and around the world. Technic cited several reasons for choosing this facility and location. It is one of six high-threshold SEVESO sites in Amiens. Also, the facili- ty’s large size offers the opportunity to expand capacity in both low- and high-vol- ume production. The facility’s proximity to Saint-Denis, where Technic’s primary production facility, administrative offices and R&D labs are located, allows for more efficient use of company resources. Web:
