Loner safety monitoring solutions are person-worn devices that alert their employer and monitoring personnel of potential risks to the health and safety of employees including injuries and health incidents. The goal of Loner products is to enable employers to improve an employee’s outcome through delivery of an effi cient emergency response to the individual’s precise location, saving valuable response time.

Pulsar Instruments (UK) plc announced today that it is celebrating its 45th anniversary. Since its inception as an engineer-led concern in Silicon Valley, USA in 1969, Pulsar Instruments has seen extraordinary growth, becoming of the success stories in the fi eld of occupational noise monitoring. It was the fi rst company to display the sound level on the scale of a sound level meter and the permitted sound exposure which, at the time, was revolutionary. It also pioneered the use of integrated circuitry in place of transistors. Based permanently in Yorkshire, the company now sells its products to more than 45 countries and has forged relationships with some of the biggest brands in the industrial, entertainment, transport and construction industries.

‘Our innovative technology and strong desire to expand our business globally have certainly been key factors, but the real foundation of our success lies in the long-term relationships we have established with Health and Safety professionals, Safety Consultants and Company owners’, said Sarah Brack, Managing Director for Pulsar Instruments plc. ‘We have always existed not only as a vendor of noise measurement products but as a company with a strong commitment towards continuous research and development to benefi t the industries we serve. In our fi rst 45 years, we have evolved with our customers and their markets, delivering noise measurement solutions that help employers comply with UK and International Noise at Work Regulations.’

‘It’s great to look back and see how far Pulsar Instruments has come from our early days’, added Sarah Brack. ‘We have introduced many new products in the last 45 years from the very basic to the highly innovative. They have all contributed to a change in the way noise at work is being monitored, helping protect worker’s hearing and improving the quality of their environment.

From the start, we have always worked closely with customers and listened to their needs. And, to this day, we have remained faithful to our original commitment to them which was to produce easy to use, durable and reliable instrumentation’.

The company is expected to increase its portfolio of noise measurement products in coming years in order to meet its growth objectives.
