SENSOR+TEST 2014 Preview

SENSOR+TEST 2014

SENSOR+TEST 2014 should be marked on the calendars of developers and manufacturers across all industries. The international fair, held at the Nürnberg Exhibition Centre, Germany, from the 3rd to 5th of June, is the leading platform on which to showcase the latest innovations, technology and talent in sensors, measurement and testing.

For exhibitors, the show presents an unmissable opportunity to meet potential new customers as well as existing ones. Display your latest instrumentation in the Action Area, where visitors have the unique opportunity to see and test products for themselves. In addition, exhibitors can present their latest developments, products and applications at the Forums during the three exhibition days – start communication here and continue it at your stand.

Visitors to the show include developers, designers, engineers and technicians, all looking for individual advice and solutions for their measuring, testing or monitoring tasks in a wide range of applications and industries, plus technical management and decision-makers who use the exhibition and conferences to source fi rst-class know- how and prepare for purchasing decisions. Scientifi c staff requiring high-quality measuring equipment for research and laboratory purposes will also be present. Statistics from the 2013 show revealed that 92% of last years’ visitors infl uence procurement decisions in their company.

Volker Huelsekopf, managing director of smartGAS Mikrosensorik, said of the 2013 show: “Although there were not quite as many visitors at the fair compared with the previous years, we had twice as many qualifi ed contacts at our stand. The visitors came to us with very concrete projects and tasks – and the investment climate is positive. For us, the SENSOR+TEST is still the best and most important fair of all – even internationally.”

The 2014 show will be run together with the 17th ITG/ GMA Symposium “Sensors and Measuring Systems” (conference language: German) and this year’s special forum topic will be “Safety and Security.” The special

stand dedicated to “Vision Sensors and Systems” will again be part of the SENSOR+TEST 2014. Its advantageous “all inclusive” offer enables companies and institutions to showcase their innovative products and solutions at very favourable terms.

Travel to Nürnberg is convenient from the east or west, whether by car, train or plane. Nürnberg is at the centre of a large economic region with internationally renowned enterprises. The special charm of Nürnberg and its region lies in the blend of tradition and innovation in the midst of an exceptionally attractive cultural landscape. The atmosphere in the city is characterised by the Southern German lifestyle, which combines business and pleasure in a relaxed and enjoyable way. Nürnberg offers all the attributes of a city with a rich culture and history: for example, the lovingly rebuilt old town. Incidentally, many historical buildings can be used for stylish receptions. The Nürnberg Exhibition Centre itself offers an excellent infrastructure and a practical layout: 10,000 parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the exhibition halls, an integrated underground station and taxi access ensure quick and convenient arrival.

All in all, SENSOR+TEST 2014 is set to be a hugely successful show, attracting exhibitors and visitors from all over the globe. Environmental Technology Publications will be present, on stand 12-641, Hall 12 – why not drop by and pick up the latest copies of our magazines? We look forward to seeing you there and wish you all the best for a successful show.
