ii UK Focus - Air Monitoring Dust Monitor Awarded MCERTS Certification
Air Quality Monitors (AQM) proudly announces that the AQM DM11 Dust monitor has been awarded MCERTS Certification. Adam Gray, Sales Director at AQM says “The DM11’s MCERTS rating reflects the quality of the DM11 and the data it produces. These instruments combined with our award winning online real-time data transfer package “DustData” offer a robust solution to dust monitoring on construction sites and sites which are regulated by government bodies. The DM11, in conjunction with our DustData package, combines trusted and accurate technology with a bespoke software package that creates practical and efficient solutions for each client’s requirements.”
AQM has developed a bespoke software package which ensures customers will have the best instrumentation and also the most advanced accessible software enabling easy data viewing. AQM has developed the DustData package to enable customers to access live data simply by logging onto their unique Dustdata account from a PC, tablet or smart phone. Allowing clients to see data as it is recorded, find data histories, create data graphs and also receive immediate alerts - clients are in full communication with their instruments at all times. Clients choose DustData because it does all the leg work for them; providing raw data, graphs and reports saving every client time, effort and money.
Adam Gray continued, “One of the biggest bug bears clients have is data loss. AQM has developed DustData our online live data transfer straight from the instrument to the internet. Unlike many other live data transfers ours is extremely reliable and robust. With over 70 monitors deployed with DustData we very rarely see data loss. Our averages are way above 95% data capture. Data loss which can occur is usually attributable to onsite power problems or signal failure! Data is backed up on the SD card so data can still be retrieved following signal failure. Ultimately the combination of the DM11 and DustData the client saves money and time”.
Isokinetic Source Sampling

Stationary source sampling is conducted to evaluate gas stream emissions to the atmosphere from stacks, ducts or process exhausts. A pollutant’s concentration is measured by extracting a known volume from the gas stream and determining the average stack gas flow rate over the sampling period. The mass emission rate of each constituent then may be calculated.
Obtaining a representative sample of particulate matter from a gas stream requires a more complex procedure than sampling only for gases. Representative sampling requires that the velocity of the gas/particle mixture passing into the sampling nozzle must be as close as possible to the velocity of the gas stream in the stack or duct. When the velocities are the same, the sampling is isokinetic. During the entire sampling period, the stack velocity must be monitored constantly and the pumping rate adjusted so that the nozzle intake velocity matches as closely as possible the velocity of the in-stack gas/particle mixture. In addition, the pumping rate needs to be adjusted for differences in pressure,
temperature and moisture between the stack conditions and the pump or meter console.
AS Technical Solutions Ltd offers a wide range of sourcing sampling system and components that can be arranged and re-arranged to perform multiple European and U.S. EPA Reference Methods. Select from manual, digital or automated meter consoles, as well as a wide range of heated filter and impinger boxes, heavy-wall glassware with unground o-ring ball joints, probes built to customer specified lengths, new designs for umbilical cords, and custom modifications to meet your unique needs..

27589pr@reply-direct.com Handheld Formaldehyde Detection Devices are a Breath of Fresh Air
2013 has been PPM Technology’s most successful year to date for the sale of the Formaldemeter htV and htV-M instruments– hand held and automated devices for the detection of formaldehyde in the workplace.
Expanding on their success within the Asian market, PPM Technology has recently won government tenders to supply a number of units within the Shaan Xi province, Ning Xia and the Inner Mongolia provinces of China.
The launch of their new product, the Touch Screen Indoor Air Quality Monitor in 2013 has also been successful with our first unit in Asia to be installed into a hospital in Macau, China, within the first quarter of 2014.

The Far East has been PPM Technology’s biggest market for a number of years, due to the legislation introduced which demanded monitoring of formaldehyde levels in any indoor environment such as offices and many industries.

PPM Technology has succeeded in finding markets throughout Asia, with many of their key markets now in the region. They are doing business in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and China, which collectively accounts for over 50% of their overall business.
PPM Technology’s Formaldemeter htV is able to accurately measure airborne formaldehyde concentrations as well as ambient temperature and humidity levels. Using the Formaldemeter htV-M continuous monitoring is possible with data logging capability for over a months worth of data.
Overexposure to airborne formaldehyde is dangerous to health, but the risks can be substantially reduced if levels are regularly measured and monitored.
PPM have also introduced a range of multi- parameter Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) monitoring devices, The Wireless IAQ Profile Monitor can contain sensors for a maximum of 7 customer specified IAQ parameters. The Mini IAQ Profile Monitor can contain a maximum of 5 sensors. Both these instruments send the collected IAQ data wirelessly to the control pc/laptop in real- time, a large number of units can be networked together to enable accurate monitoring of an entire building.
