The Berkley Beach Club
Maryann Ferenc is a passionate advocate for independent businesses and homeless dogs. She
established Mise en Place in 1986 with Chef Marty Blitz. The Mise en Place Hospitality Group also has
Café by Mise en Place at Tampa International Airport, Montados at Sparkman Wharf in Tampa’s
Channelside, and the Berkeley Beach Club in Pass-A- Grille, named after one of Ferenc’s beloved dogs,
Berkeley. The restaurant hosted Dia de los Perros on the first weekend in November to benefit Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven, a Bradenton-based rescue
