American rock band The Killers (pictured) are to play a huge show at the Ricoh Arena next summer as part of their Imploding The Mirage stadium tour. The band will take to the stage at
the Coventry venue on 11 June, 2020 in support of the sixth studio album. The UK and Ireland tour also
calls at the Falkirk Stadium in Falkirk, Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground, Carrow Road in Norwich, Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium, Emirate Stadium in London, Bristol’s Ashton Gate, the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough and Malahide Castle, Dublin. Stuart Cain, chief executive (venue) at Wasps Group, said: “The
Killers are one of the biggest rock bands of the 21st Century and we are thrilled to have them coming to Ricoh Arena. “Next year is shaping up to be another bumper year for the venue
and June is one of the stand out months with world-renowned acts The Killers and Rammstein now both performing. “Ricoh Arena hosts hundreds of events every year and is always
striving to bring the best entertainment and acts to the region and I am sure The Killers will be an amazing addition to the 2020 line-up.”
Defender takes on Bond stunt
Land Rover’s new Defender has been given its toughest test yet – on the set of James Bond film ‘No Time To Die’. A new teaser video captured
during filming of the 25th Bond movie provides a behind-the- scenes view of stunt co-ordinator Lee Morrison and stunt driver Jess Hawkins at work. Land Rover’s design team
worked closely with special effects
and action vehicles supervisor Chris Corbould on the specification of the Defenders in the film. Lee Morrison, James Bond stunt
co-ordinator, said: “Designing and co-ordinating the action sequences for the Bond franchise requires a non-compromising mindset. “We needed an unstoppable
vehicle to help us battle against the elements so we chose the new Defender.”
