Do you know

someone who has a hearing loss?

Do you need help and support?

I CAN HELP YOU!

I am still losing my hearing and I do have a hearing dog, Harley who helps me. I know the isolation that deafness can cause.

I aim to empower a person with hearing loss, so that they can become an active member of society again.

Certification Procedures training, demonstrating their knowledge and willingness to learn everything they need to know to certify documentation. “We do anticipate a substantial

increase in the number of documents the Chamber will process after Brexit occurs, and Dan and Carina will be utilised to help process these additional documents. “The Chambers has actively

taken steps to prepare for Brexit, and I would urge other businesses and organisations to also prepare by taking part in some of the documentation courses provided by the Chamber.” The documentation team at the Chambers have also processed a record number of export documents. More than 3,600 documents in

October, the largest number the team had completed in one month in its 90-year history. A plethora of Greater Birmingham products were exported to across the world, including pig hearts, Christmas

confectionery, violins and underwater power tools. Mandy Haque, international

director, said: “We have had a significant uplift in documents coming in the team to be certified in the last week in particular, resulting in an increase in volume of 50 per cent, per day in processing Certificates of Origin on average as well as increases in Arab Documentation and ATA carnets. “The significant uplift seems to

be as a result of Brexit preparations, as many firms and organisations across Greater Birmingham were under the impression that the UK would leave the EU on 31 October, and were keen to ship their goods overseas. “As a Chamber team, we were

always prepared for any additional work that might impact on documentation due to Brexit.” The Chambers now offers a

range of export, customs declarations and documentation training courses.
