WHB TWINNING ASSOCIATION At our first committee meeting after our visit to our twinned towns of La Pommeraye and Montjean-sur-Loire,which we agreed was a great success, we managed to organise a lot of dates for the next few months to put in your diaries. Firstly, we are planning our AGM for 24th
October in Wroxham Church Hall and have a
great compilation of photos to hopefully show there, along with our usual Loire wine and nibbles. Our post-Christmas dinner next year may stray in to February, Friday 21st
, and we’ll keep
members posted about that and also our annual flotilla, which is provisionally planned for 20th June 2020. Most importantly, next year’s visit of our French Twinning friends is scheduled for 13th- 18th August 2020. We are also hoping to organise one of our popular Quiz and Supper evenings next year, possibly in March. French Conversation was cancelled in September, many members away, but will hopefully commence again the first Wednesday in October. WROXHAM BURE VALLEY ROTARY CLUB The Hoveton Art Show, back on the local calendar after several year’s absence was a great success, and well attended. Full results next time. Arrangements are well in hand for our Christmas collections. The licenses are all in place, Santa has been booked and will be with us, his sleigh is being spruced up, and the elves are already in training – everything will be ready for our first outing early in December, only 8 weeks away! In the meantime we have a good mix of interesting speakers, outside visits and social events coming up over the next few weeks. And we are also looking at our 2020 plans.
