HARMONY ARTISTS’ PRESIDENT JERRY ROSS WINS THE
LIZ SILVERSTEIN AGENT-MANAGER OF THE YEAR AWARD
NAPAMA Awards are Presented at the Annual APAP Conference in New York City
LOS ANGELES -- JANUARY 15, 2019 – Every year in honor of the late, cherished agent- manager Liz Silverstein, NAPAMA (North American Performing Arts Managers and Agents) honors industry executives demonstrating exemplary mentoring, achievements and lead- ership via The Liz Silverstein Agent-Manager of the Year Award. Today it was announced Jerry Ross, President of the Los Angeles-based talent agency Harmony Artists, is the 2019 winner. Recipients are also recognized for cultivating and promoting diversity, practicing inclusion and creating equity for the underserved members of our community. “Thank you to NAPAMA, APAP and our clients and colleagues. It is a great honor to be recog- nized with what I consider one of the most prominent awards in our business,” says Ross. “I am dedicated to being available to mentor artists, presenters and agents, and work alongside
them through their successes and challenges.” Every year, members of APAP are invited to nominate peers whose hard work and dedication have a profound and
lasting effect in the performing arts. Ross received the award at the APAP conference luncheon at the Hilton Grand Ball- room in New York City in January. Ross was involved in the entertainment industry since he was a young bass player in a local high school band before
running a Los Angeles recording studio and managing bands in the early 1970s. Meeting his current business partner in 1974, Ross and Mike Dixon incorporated Harmony Artists in 1975 and were joined by Adrienne Crane-Ross in the 1990s. Harmony Artists specializes in providing top national headline and regional entertainment for venues throughout the world, and as exclusive talent buyers for headline entertainment, Broadway shows and national tours. Among the shows Harmony Artists has launched and managed are national touring productions including “Caution:
Men at Work – Tap” (touring the US, Korea and China) , “On Golden Pond” starring Jack Klugman, “Direct From Vegas the Rat Pack”, Broadway’s “Forever Tango” (as seen on PBS, and their three runs on Broadway). As a talent buyer, cli- ents include numerous arenas, per- forming arts centers and casinos throughout the United States, The Old Town Pasadena Jazz Festival, Rolls Royce Corporation, Walt Disney Pic- tures & Television, Buena Vista Televi- sion, Southwest Airlines, Coca Cola and The Disney Talent and Booking Depart- ment (Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, and The Disney Anaheim Resorts) among many others.
