From the Executive Director Lisa Hinton

It’s hard to believe it’s already

March and the Spring Fair Season is almost half over – where does the time go?! The Federation has been excep-

tionally busy with events so far this year. We held our 4th Annual Fair’ Partner’s Shoot out in early

February. It is such a great networking opportunity and we were pleased to have so many IAFE, NICA, OABA, and Fed- eration members – both Fairs and Associates - participate. Thank you for your support! The upcoming Federation and Zone 2 meeting is going to

be AWESOME! The Convention Program committee has continued to “tweak” the convention format and they have some exciting new things for this year’s convention! One of the main changes will be more dedicated time in the Trade Show. We think this will be a great benefit to our associate members and also our Fair members won’t have to choose between one or the other. There are also some exciting changes to the Hospitality Suite – it will now be called the GREEN Room – G=Gather, R=Reunite, E=Entertain, E=Excite, N=Nightly. The focus will be on get- ting everyone involved in the networking – from an open mic for Associates to fun, games, and prizes. You won’t want to miss it! As always, our Fairs continue to make a positive impact

on their communities and the young people that partici- pate. What a great industry to be involved in! There are always people “behind the scenes” making all

of our Federation events possible and a special thanks goes out to Doris Graska and Elaine Miller for taking on the gar- gantuan task of producing this newsletter! Fantastic job you two! Thank you also to Bill McNeal of the Greater Jack- sonville Ag Fair for his assistance with graphics and tech- nical issues. And thank you also to Andrea Simone from the South Florida Fair for stepping in at the last minute and completing the last issue when the chairman took an un- planned trip to the hospital. We thank all of our Associate Members for your continued

support of the Federation and our Fairs. You are such a vital part of our “Fair Family!” Hope we see you at the Convention – it’s going to be a

great one! Lisa Hinton
