Fairly Important Matters


26 years ago and Tim continued in his father’s foot- steps. He served on the NICA Board of Directors twice and served it well. He also served on the Florida Feder- ation of Fairs board for 5 years. He showed commitment to the Industry will his ser- vice to the NICA members. The O’Brien Family were Florida Federation of Fairs Asso- ciates of the year in 2005. Tim’s son Cody and nephew Jody have taken over the operation and Tim proudly watches them succeeding where he left off. Tim & Justine are looking forward to new adventures in retirement. Congratulations to Tim O’Brien!


Tim O’Brien was presented with the NICA Hall of Fame award on Feb 6th at the Annual NICA Gala. The Hall of Fame award is awarded to a member that has Vision, Leader- ship, Commitment, Honor and Char- acter. Tim has all of these qualities and many more. His father Gene O’Brien had the Vision to start NICA

Bob Hinton of Hinton Farms received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Florida Strawberry Grow- ers Association. He was the first President of the FSGA and has spent a lifetime committed to serving the agri- cultural industry.
