of our members pretty hard. The Central Panhandle Fair was the hardest hit with their main building suffering
Hurricane Michael came through Florida during our Fall Fair season and hit some
massive damages as well as their livestock barns and restrooms being damaged as well. The Board has voted that they will not have a Fair in 2019 as they begin the process of rebuilding. FEMA currently has trailers on the property and will continue to have them there until April of 2020. The Walton County Fair was open and running when Hurricane Michael came
through and while they suffered minor damages and had to close for a day, the grounds were not damaged. Their attendance was affected however, as the devas- tation in the surrounding area prevented people from being able to come to the Fair. The Northwest Florida Fair was just west of the hurricane's path and did not suffer
damages. However, their community has been dramatically affected as families have been temporarily relocated to their area. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who suffered and are still suffering from
Hurricane Michael. While we go on with our daily lives, many of them continue to struggle with the basic necessities of life.
