nomonie, WI, on the last Saturday of January, it is currently 3 degrees. So, I checked my weather app, and see that it is 60 degrees in West Palm Beach where the South Florida Fair is in full swing. And I will bet that some folks in West Palm are saying right now – “Gee, it’s kind of cool today, isn’t it?” (And, yes – Rick Vymlatil, I might be thinking of you!) I attended fair conventions this month in Wisconsin, Mis-


souri, and Minnesota. Our agency also had representa- tives at the Texas and Nebraska conventions. We saw several associate members at these conventions that also attend the Florida Convention each year. It is always in- teresting to see how conventions differ, and how they are similar. Each convention has their unique way of doing some things, and some things you can plan on happening at every convention you attend. I’d say that is pretty dang similar to the fairs that we, as Associate Members, service. No two fairs are exactly the same. But, one thing we can always count on is that fair folks are the best people to work with and work for! Fair management, staff and volunteers continue to show their dedication and determination by doing everything they can to make their fair the best it can be. Even in my “advanced” years, I continue to be amazed by these “Fair Folks”! God Bless You All!
