Citrus County Fair It’s almost Fair Time! We have just completed our
20th annual Truck & Tractor Pull. We had many states represented at the Pull. We had two days of Smoke &
77th North Florida Fair
The 77th North Florida Fair was held November 8-18. This was a week later than the usual schedule but by having the fair a week later, it allowed us to keep the observed holiday of Veteran’s Day on the
Noise with over 300 hooks. The Pull helps us fund Youth Scholarships and our local economy. The Fair is coming soon March 25th—31st, 2019. We
have an exciting week planned for everyone. We will start the week off with the World Champion "Elvis" Impersona- tor Show on Monday. We will have Dollar Night on Tues- day and all students free on Friday from 1-5pm. Belle City Amusements will provide our Midway again
this year. Lots of thrilling rides and excitement all week. We will have Arm Band specials all week for our Patrons. We look forward to working with the Panacek Family. The entertainment lineup will be; Bob Bohm, Oscar,
Fritzy, Red Dragon Laser Tag, Chris Mabrey & The Dennis Lee Show. Many Local Entertainers will also be show- cased. We will also have contests for our Youth; Public Speak-
ing, Karaoke, Pie Eating & Cross Cut Sawing. We will have Livestock Shows, Skillathons & Animal
sales for our Youth all week long. We invite everyone to come join the fun at the Citrus
County Fair March 25th—31st, 2019. The carnival will not be open on the 25th, there will be livestock activities and we are excited to announce that on March 25th we will have Elvis Tribute by World Champion Cote. Cote is Grand Champion: Tampa; Grand Champion Branson; Niagara Falls, Ontario Grand Champion, Lake George, NY Grand Champion and in 2018 he became World Champion.
calendar. As you know, holidays are important days and this is especially so in the state capitol. The fair got off to a great start but the weather forecast was foreboding. We got through the first weekend without a problem but the clouds were building. The rains came on Tuesday, Day 6 of the fair. Day 6 and Day 7 were completely lost due to rain. The clouds parted on Thursday and the re- mainder of the fair was clear and cool. The customers responded and were treated to a fantastic experience. The Anastasini Circus was on hand with their family
style circus under a big top tent. As a way to announce the start of a show, a tightrope walker would walk across the span above the tent. It attracted the attention of a crowd every night. When the heads were craned sky- ward, people would look to see what others were looking at. It was a fantastic show. Also on hand for entertain- ment was the Pittman Magic Show, a fast paced show with magic, juggling, and balance acts. It was also a crowd favorite. The Butterfly Encounter was in the back of the Commercial Building and drew a big crowd through the building daily. The Kuriosity Planetarium, the Show-Me Safari Swine Racers, and the Show-Me Safari Petting Zoo rounded out the grounds acts for the fair. All the entertainment drew crowds at every show. Strates Shows provided
the midway for the North Florida Fair. A new layout was premiered and the feedback was very positive from the fairgoers. The ETIX ticketing platform was also premiered at this fair as well. For those not fa- miliar, it is an electronic bar-coded ticketing system that employees the latest technology. We’re looking forward to using ETIX in the future and see it as adding to future growth of the North Florida Fair. The North Florida Fair contin-
ues to entertain customers with great entertainment, spectacular rides, delicious food, and is a fantastic value in family enter- tainment. We look forward to another great year in 2019. See you at the fair.
