The sun shine brought on a large
crowd who
had gathered to support Youghal’s first ever Pride by the Sea event, held on Youghal Beach on Tues- day 31 July. Hosted by the East Cork/ West Waterford LGBT+ Community and proudly sponsored by Cork
County Council. There was live music
from ‘Sparkle’, delicious food prepared by volun- teers Katie Gilman and Daniel Leahy and children were entertained with vari- ous competitions which had been organised.
Speaking to Mary Lynch who attend-
ed the event she had this to say “the event has been amazing, we really enjoyed the day in Youghal. The or- ganisers did a great job and we hope this is the first of many”.
