Award-winning composer Karl Jenkins has announced a Birmingham date for the Autumn, conducting a superb programme of some of his finest works. Karl Jenkins is widely recognised as one of the

world’s most popular and widely performed living composers. Classically trained, but drawing on a diverse range of global influences, Jenkins’ composing style pushes musical boundaries. In addition to his highly successful Adiemus albums, which have sold over three million copies in 50 countries, his music has spanned many genres, from ballet and symphonic music to BAFTA-award-winning soundtracks and Montreux Festival-winning jazz. He was knighted in 2015 for his contribution to music. This concert is a fantastic opportunity to experience a

performance of his acclaimed work The Armed Man – A Mass For Peace as well as excerpts from his celebrated compositions including Requiem, Adiemus and Palladio. Karl Jenkins with Kathryn Rudge (mezzo soprano),

Joo Yeon Sir (violin), Manchester Concert Orchestra and Manchester Chorale will be performing at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Saturday 21 October, 2017.
