Business Fair gets royal treatment

Sutton Coldfield’s first “royal” business fair at the Ramada Hotel on Friday was hailed as a great success that more are planned. Over 400 delegates flocked to the Sutton Coldfield Chamber event at

the Ramada Hotel, where nearly 40 businesses had exhibition stands. They also enjoyed a seminar from the Greater Birmingham Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) plus a speed networking session. Paul Faulkner, chief executive of Greater Birmingham Chambers of

Commerce, said: “We were thrilled at the response of businesses to the fair, particularly in the light that Sutton Chamber is barely 18 months old. Since its launch we have been bowled over by the response from the town’s business community and the fair was a celebration of its success. “It was also a celebration of the Sutton business community as a whole

and enabled well-established companies and the many new companies arriving in the town to showcase their products and make new contacts. It was fantastic to see them all under one roof and the response of delegates means we shall now make the event a permanent feature of the Sutton business scene. “The presence of the GBSLEP underlined the growing enthusiasm for

greater regional co-operation in the light of nearly-elected mayor Andy Street and the West Midlands Combined Authority.”
