is easy to navigate and a range of car parks located close to our shops and attractions. Our visitors always remark on what a delightful experience it is to be able to shop in such a well looked after city that is delight on the eye, provoking comparisons to Chester and York. Leading in to and from our
historic quarter, our current shopping centre, Three Spires, is able to support our larger retailers such as Debenhams and Marks & Spencer’s Food, as well as independent retailers, providing a traffic-free shopping environment.

Lichfield is also looking to the
future and approval for a new mixed use development in May 2016 was granted in the shape of Friarsgate, which is expected to bring up to ten food and drink establishments, 25 shops, 82 apartments and 11 townhouses to the city centre. The new plans for Friarsgate
will create a seamless link into Three Spires Shopping Centre.
The combination of leisure and
retail is expected to increase the shopping turnover from £55m to £107m by 2022 and is forecast to create 600 new full-time jobs. The development will also
enhance transport connectivity to Lichfield, delivering a new bus station as well as 500 safe and accessible car parking spaces. We look forward to welcoming you to Lichfield soon.
