www.step2uk.com Step2’s latest item, the Thomas the Tank Engine Up & Down Coaster ride-on, is built upon its bestselling Up & Down Coaster. For children aged 2-5 years, the ride-on is versatile for indoor and outdoor use and features two non-slip steps which lock securely into a four- piece length of track for access from both sides. There are recessed retainer wells which hold the coaster car steady until the child is ready to roll down the track. The up and down riding track is over nine feet long (2.74m), and the fully-assembled car has a high back, handrail and footrests for a secure ride. The car itself is a detailed depiction of Thomas the Tank Engine with an authentic face, decals and colours. The Up & Down Coaster will be available from this April and is backed by Step2’s three-year warranty.
The new Thomas The Tank Engine Up & Down Roller Coaster was a huge success for us in Nuremburg. Everyone who buys for this sector that saw it, liked it. It is rare sight to see buyers from all categories stop whilst walking between appointments and smile at a product; unaware that others around are seeing their reactions. www.chicco.com The Pelican Trike from Chicco is a new addition to its outdoor line up as a bright and quirky character. The tricycle has been developed with a number of features to allow parents to customise the trike as their children grow. The tricycle comes with an on/off system handling the steering block to give parents the option of whether the children is operating the steering with a free wheel. The removable ‘push mama’ telescopic handle means parents can assist children while riding or, as they grow older, take it off the trike to give them free reign for pedalling and control.
The adjustable seat can be easily altered while the three-point safety belt keeps riders secure. The tricycle comes with
a large front basket in the beak of the pelican and is suitable for children aged 18 months and up.
