recently as sales manager for Argos and the grocery sector, and previously with a wide variety of accounts during his seven years at Vivid Imaginations, covering the whole of the trade. Ray, who is based in the East Midlands, is now looking for a new challenge where he can make a positive difference utilising the skills and experience he has acquired over the years. Hornby has announced the appointment of former Ladbrokes managing director Richard Ames as chief executive offi cer. Ames was set to step into his new role in April. Ames has much experience in the fi eld of consumer- facing businesses, and was managing director of the product division at Ladbrokes, where he ran both the UK and Ireland operations. Prior to his role at Ladbrokes, Ames worked at Dixons as marketing director. With Ames joining the group, the chairman,


Roger Canham, would resume his role as a non- executive. Mr Canham, said: “I am delighted that Richard is joining Hornby. He has a wealth of experience of leading consumer facing businesses. Livingstone currently also represents Bandai, Spin Master, Trends and University Games. He will be a valuable asset to Epoch in growing the iconic Sylvanian Families brand together with Aquabeads and Charmies within Ireland. With 30 years’ experience in the toy industry, Graham Crawford also joins as a sales agent for Scotland. Crawford currently also represents Playmobil, VTech, MGA, Mookie and MV. Turner Broadcasting has announced the appointment of Johanne Broadfi eld to the role of vice president, Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), EMEA. Johanne will be


responsible for leading Turner’s consumer products team and business, spearheading the development of Turner’s channel and show brands into consumer product franchises within and across the region. She will lead a business unit responsible for product licensing, promotions, publishing, home entertainment, events and environments. She will also direct brand, licensing, retail and associated marketing strategies for CNE, working in conjunction with the global Turner CNE team to develop and execute franchise strategies and plans.


Hit Entertainment has appointed Kate Schlomann to the role of VP, global brand management. Based


in Hit’s London offi ce, Schlomann will report to SVP Hit Brands, Edward Catchpole. She will be responsible for guiding the global brand and marketing strategies for existing and new properties including Thomas & Friends, Mike the Knight, Fireman Sam, and Bob the Builder. Kate brings more than 15 years of experience to Hit including her latest role as EVP, brand management and marketing at FremantleMedia Enterprises where she was responsible for the strategy and management of its brands, as well as the global corporate marketing function for the company.


Revell GmbH has employed a dedicated sales team to manage the Hobbico product range within the UK. Andrew Rawlinson will be responsible for product marketing and communications, Hobby RC. Working across all Hobbico RC brands and sales channels, his aim is to fi rmly establish the Hobbico brand in the competitive UK retail market and he brings with him extensive product marketing experience within the hobby RC sector, having worked on a variety of established hobby RC brands. Peter Addyman joins as regional manager for the midlands and south of England, while Stuart Bird joins as sales agent for the north of England, Scotland and Ireland. Both have extensive sales experience in the hobby RC sector.


Suzie Howes joins Winning Moves as head of marketing. Formally at Vivid, Suzie brings with her a wealth of knowledge and 12 years of experience within the industry.
