CANTON and SOUTHINGTON - Epiphany - Awaken to the value of integrative therapies. Complimentary sessions are offered by volunteers who are qualified, certified, and/or licensed practitioners. CranioSacral Therapy Therapeutic Touch, Reflexology, and Reiki are available at both locations. Therapies vary depending on the therapists available. Canton Epiphany may include Shiatsu, Quantum Healing, Transformational Healing, and Amwand. Sessions are 20-30 min and may decrease stress, pain, anxiety, accelerate healing, and enhance sense of well-being and learning skills. Children are welcome. These sessions are offered to the public on the first Wednesday of the month (except January and July). Southington Epiphany is from 1 to 3 p.m. at 232 Bristol Street at the First Lutheran Church. GLASTONBURY - Free Healing Services Healing in Harmony Nights held at The Healing in Harmony Center, 99 Citizens Drive, Glastonbury, CT and facilitated by Priscilla Bengtson. Stop by the center for a free healing service held on Wednesdays, December 11, January 8, February 12, between 5 and 7 p.m. Participants will sit individually with Priscilla and receive a healing. Each healing will be approximately 8 - 10 minutes. You will be served in the order in which you enter the center. The healing services are offered one night each month. The Healing Modalities Institute (HMI) is a group of 16 certified, insured individuals (registered nurses, massage therapist and other professionals) dedicated to assisting others in their own healing process. HMI has offered their services throughtout Connecticut for many years. AVON - Hartford Hospital Grief Support Group - Grief is a difficult and confusing journey. No two individuals grieve in quite the same way. It is important to have support and understanding along the way. Come be with us and let us give you comfort. Held on the third Monday of the month – December 16 - from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hartford Hospital Family Wellness Center, 339 West Main Street (next to Friendly’s) on Route 44 in Avon. Meeting on January 20 and February 17, 2014, will be held at Hartford Hospital Wellness Center, 100 Simsbury Road above HealthTrax in Riverdale Farms, Avon. This group is for people who are in their first two years of grief. Registration encouraged at (860) 545-1888 but walk-ins are welcome. Free.
