Consultancy Blue Spa and Leisure is over- seeing the design and development of a luxury spa at this secluded hotel on one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the UK. With a confi rmed opening of 2013, the spa will feature eight multi-func- tional treatment rooms as well as a rooſt op filled with herbs, open-fire log saunas and tepees. Costing £2-3m (us$3.1-4.7m, €2.4-3.6m) to create, other standout ele- ments to the development will include an external hot tub with sea views, out- side yurts to be used for treatments and a grass-roofed thermal spa building with a salt steamroom, a rasul, a hammam, a herbal sauna and a laconium. Les Templiers Pézenas, France


OPENING 2012


French developer Garrigae Resorts & Spa is nearing completion on a mixed-use rede- velopment of a 19th century distillery in the medieval town of Pézenas. Called Les Templiers, the development consists of 49 freehold apartments as well as a resort and spa. T e 1,399sq ſt (130sq m) Mediter- ranean spa will be built around a courtyard with olive trees and a fountain. Organic products incorporating extracts from geranium, sage, calendula, grapes and lav- ender will be used in the three treatment rooms.
