Dosing System to Increase Efficiency and Productivity 提高效率和生产率的配料系统
When modernizing or expanding their metalcasting
facilities, more and more operators in Europe must choose between a dosing furnace and a conventional ladle system. Tis was the case at the Celikel foundry in Turkey and with another large metalcasting facility in Coventry, U.K. For both companies, the focus was on increasing productivity and improving casting quality. Both decided to install the dosing furnace technology from StrikoWestofen, Gum- mersbach, Germany. Due to limited down time and reduced reject rates, these investments often pay for themselves dur- ing the first year of operation. In particular, companies with high costs for materials
and energy—such as aluminium foundries—have to ensure optimum operations of their systems in day-to-day produc- tion. Excessively high energy input, machine downtimes, material losses due to contaminated melts and high reject rates significantly reduce profitability. “Especially with regard to these aspects, our Westomat
