wo respected Yorkshire commercial property professionals have teamed up
to launch a company which will revolutionise the serviced offices sector in the region. Alex Duckett, ex-Knight Frank and
Savills, and Oliver Corrigan, who owns the pioneering Carrwood Park and Brookfield Court office parks by Junction 46 of the M1, have formed Gilbanks, which will focus on creating the finest serviced office space in the north of England. Duckett and Corrigan believe that the
demand for truly high-quality serviced office space in Yorkshire cities, and especially in Leeds, is not being met and that Gilbanks will provide the perfect solution to this problem. Duckett explained: “The seismic change
in working practices over the past decade, driven by the revolution in technology, has meant that the days of the traditional and functional, leasehold office, are numbered. Flexibility and a productive office experience are the key. “But the serviced offer sector,
especially in the regions, has remained largely unresponsive to these changes. Many serviced offices are tired and unwelcoming and simply don’t provide the level of service or create the environment
that is needed. "There is significant research urging
businesses to embrace managed office solutions as it results in increased productivity and undoubtedly job satisfaction. The field is being led by many major national companies wanting satellite regional presence, as well as the flourishing start-up market, who recognise the importance of spaces that work to achieve a relaxing yet inspiring ambience which is necessary in attracting the young top talent." Crucially Carrwood Park, which was
originally developed by Oliver Corrigan's father John, has already proved that the Yorkshire market is ready for quality serviced offices. Corrigan explained: “The unqualified

ddington Capital, the investment and asset management specialist has let a
circa 4,500 sq.ft restaurant, 16-17 Kirkgate, Leeds to “Home”, the fine dining experience. “Home” is being set up by Elizabeth
Cottam, the much praised semi-finalist of last year’s BBC MasterChef and her business partner Mark Owens, former Head Chef at Michelin-starred The Box Tree in Ilkley. It will be opening its doors in August. "Home" will be a 65 cover restaurant
with bar area, providing fine dining “re- imagined” in a welcoming atmosphere, including offering a ten-course tasting menu and exclusive chef’s table experience. The company has signed a 10 year
lease at a rent of 39,000 pax with 9 months rent free. Commenting, Alex Wagstaff of
