MediaCityUK is set to double in size over the next decade under ambitious plans submitted to Salford City Council today. Up to ten new buildings are envisaged with a development value of more than £1 billion. Key features of phase two of MediaCityUK include 540,000 sq.ft of offices, 1,800 apartments, retail and leisure,
complemented by innovative public spaces with a pedestrian promenade running through the scheme. Outline approval for the plans was granted in 2006.

Nottingham-based charity, Radford Care Group (RCG), has announced plans to expand its Care Centre on Prospect Street in Radford. Founded in 1968, the charity specialises in offering support to older people living in Nottingham. The new centre would include a bespoke training centre for local people who are considering a future in care.
‘Building Inclusivity’, a new report looking at all aspects of diversity and inclusion in the land, property and construction sector has been launched at the RICS Diversity and Inclusion Conference in London. The data analysed by EY shows that currently nearly half of SMEs in the UK’s property industry are not monitoring the gap between male and female pay and that ethnic minorities continue to be underrepresented.
