AUK Distribution is off ering LG’s new chiller range. The capacities of base models are 60/ 123/185 kW and a max of 10 chillers can be controlled by one central controller up to 1,850kW. The range off ers high effi ciency inverter technologies, including water outlet temperature control without hunting, and enhanced heating performance by vapor Injection cycle.
In addition, the range also provides continuous heating operation; back up operation In case of emergency; quick maintenance using a black box function; and corrosion resistance with an ‘Ocean Black Fin’ coil. Convenience is another key benefi t.
The new chillers have a smaller footprint due to their compact size. Noise levels are low, with the option for a silent operation function, and there is the added benefi t of a fi ve Inch HMI touch controller with various functions.
AUK managing director, Darryl Smith said: “We were especially pleased with how quiet the units are during operation. The control logic used, which will be familiar to LG VRF customers, will make installation set up and regular monitoring of the units very easy.”

Panasonic
Panasonic has announced its new warranty scheme, with Standard, Extended and Extended+ options for its heating and cooling products purchased within the UK.
For installers to off er their customers
the standard three year warranty on products from Aquarea Air to Water ranges, they must be able to show a knowledge and understanding of heat pumps, and with Panasonic’s Air to Air products, they must be F-Gas registered. For the extended warranty period of fi ve years, installers will need to complete a Panasonic training course and an assessment. uccessful participants will then be issued with a unique ID. For selected and trained installers, Panasonic will extend the warranty period to seven years if the installer submits their warranties to the Panasonic PRO Club website. Installers will simply have to load the Panasonic approved commissioning documents to the Panasonic PRO Club, accessing the warranty area with their unique ID, ensuring that the products and installation are traceable.

Johnson Controls has expanded its York line of YLAA Air-Cooled Scroll Chillers up to 230 tons. The extended capacity of the YLAA off ers a more cost competitive solution to 230-ton opportunities without sacrifi cing size, quality and effi ciency. With an exceptionally small footprint, the YLAA (55-230 tons) off ers full-load and part-load effi ciencies that meet or exceed ASHRAE standards. Available from stock and shipped to locations in the United States within two to fi ve days, made to order options now include variable speed drive (VSD) condenser fans to further enhance part-load effi ciency and sound, as well as integral pump packages to off er a single purchase, shipment, and install solution.
The scroll compressors have proven reliability and the units are equipped with two independent circuits for partial redundancy. They also feature a brazed plate heat exchanger, microchannel condenser and native building automation system (BAS) communications, including BACnet, Modbus and N2.

FLIR has launched the FLIR DM285 thermal imaging digital multimeter, an industrial inspection, troubleshooting, and diagnostic tool. Professionals can use the DM285 for non- contact thermal imaging to quickly scan for overheating system components, and then use its test functions to troubleshoot and diagnose
the fault. It is ideal for troubleshooting electrical applications, including overheating panels, fuses, and loose connections. It can be used for diagnosing issues in electro-mechanical equipment and associated monitoring and automation systems. It is also a good choice for HVACR applications, printed circuit board components, voltage regulators, power supplies and microprocessors.
As FLIR’s most advanced digital multimeter, the 18-function, 160 x 120 thermal resolution DM285 measures temperatures up to 400°C, stores data for 10 sets of 40k scalar measurements and 100 images, and off ers a recall function for data review in the fi eld. It includes a built-in worklight and fl exible battery options, including the long-life FLIR TA04 Li-Poly rechargeable battery, or standard AA batteries.
