Conex Bänninger leads market revolution

Pipe fi ttings, valves and accessories manufacturer Conex Bänninger has called on the acr industry to join the ‘Press Revolution’ with its >B< MaxiPro press fi tting system, the fast and fl ame-free alternative to traditional brazing methods.

S

pecially designed to manage the demands of acr applications up to 48 bar, the copper >B< MaxiPro is a mechanically strong and resilient press-fit system that ensures a permanent and secure leak-proof joint.

The security of the joint is the result of Conex Bänninger’s three-point press technology. This comprises three press points, with one on each side of the bead and one press compressing the O-ring.

Quick and simple to use, >B< MaxiPro is designed with the intention of signifi cantly reducing installation time and costs in a market which is currently dominated by traditional braze fi ttings. The fl ame free press-fi t solution also has

signifi cant health and safety benefi ts, eliminating the requirement of hot work permits and risk of fi re, whilst also removing the need for nitrogen purging.

Mano Bakhtiari, chief executive of Conex Bänninger’s parent company, IBP Group, acknowledged the advantages of the press fi tting system: “It’s the future of acr, making the job for engineers easier and safer.”

With >B< MaxiPro, Conex Bänninger hopes to raise awareness of these notable benefi ts and push for a conversion to press fi tting across the acr industry.

Mr Bakhtiari continued: “Leading the industry forward, we welcome competition to join us; there is still a lot to be done and it’s the tip of the iceberg.”

>B< MaxiPro is approved for use with a total of 19 refrigerants, including R1234yf, R1234ze, R32, R134a, R404A, R407C, R407F, R410A, and R507. It is available in a host of fi ttings types, including Straight Coupler, Reducing Coupler, Fitting Reducer, 90° Bend, 90° Street Bend, 45° Obtuse Elbow, Equal Tee and Stop End variants.

Bill Barlow, business unit director, UK – OEM and ACR at Conex Bänninger, said: “With the success of Conex Bänninger’s >B< MaxiPro launch in other international markets, we fi rmly believe that we have developed an innovative product that provides a best-in-class solution for UK contractors and engineers in air conditioning and refrigeration applications. Conex Bänninger recommends the use of Rothenberger’s tried and trusted press tools and jaws for press installations.

“As a revolutionary press-fi t product, we are

confi dent that >B< MaxiPro will further establish IBP Group’s UK acr market presence, ensuring that Conex Bänninger is seen as the trusted brand

in the industry, consistently delivering product excellence and value to our customers and end users.”

>B< MaxiPro jaws can be easily identifi ed by their distinctive pink label, logo and jaw size. A selection of recommended jaws and tools will be made available at Chillventa 2018 for visitors to view.

Intended for use with hard, half hard or annealed copper tube conforming to either EN 12735-1 or ASTM-B280, >B< MaxiPro fi ttings all carry a fi ve-year guarantee against manufacturing defects when professionally installed and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
