NEWS Midea launches

10-year warranty with FG Europe

F

G UK is launching a ‘Mi Partner’ programme off ering 10-year warranty on Midea products, which gives the original installer the opportunity to off er the same level of care during a long-term maintenance as they did during installation. FG UK is also supporting its partners with a contribution towards fi rst year service costs to help their partners secure long term maintenance contracts. 2018 will see the industry’s largest

phase down of refrigerants containing high GWP and we have already seen some impact of this in the form of huge refrigerant price increases. From February 2018, Midea will be one of the fi rst manufacturers to off er a complete line up of low GWP R32 refrigerant split and multi split products.

To support this period of change R32 products will be set at the same cost as its R410a products. FG Europe will also be off ering its UK ‘Mi Partners’ refrigeration contributions of £32/kg on R410a products and £12/ kg on R32 products. Contributions will be paid for by FG Europe up to the maximum piping length of every split and multi split air conditioning system sold.

Prior to launching Midea Air Conditioning products in the UK, FG Europe has made signifi cant investments in preparing the same

premium levels of support that has given growth and longevity in many key territories across Europe. Free technical training and CPD’s are available at Midea UK’s London offi ce - and ‘hands on’ equipment training that includes the safe handling of R32 refrigerant is available at our Newcastle Training Academy. Qualifi ed controls and refrigeration

engineers are also available via a dedicated support line. The same engineers will also be responsible for the correct diagnosis, management, preparation and shipment of UK available next day spare parts. General manager Martin Richards

said: “Midea is a global leader in air conditioning and already a top three supplier of air conditioning products in many territories across Europe. The fi nancial power and drive of the Midea organisation is impossible to ignore and with the support of such a long-established business in FG Europe we have an exclusive opportunity to promote and support a range of equipment that can boast some of the industry’s most exceptional products. “We do not underestimate the challenge and a lot of hard work will be necessary but having witnessed fi rst-hand the build quality and accuracy that state-of-the-art factory automation can provide, I have never been more confi dent in a product’s reliability. Our FG UK team and Midea have worked tirelessly in researching a strategy that we believe will be a winning one for our customers in the UK and we can’t wait to get going.”
