and would increase the influence of large scale development to a wider extent across the view. The partial screening of the tree cover combined with the favourable scale comparison with the other components would reduce the prominence of the building.
29.6.8.2 Significance of the impact 162. The impact of the converter station on this view would be not significant. The view experienced from the road and adjacent properties would be partially screened by the intervening hedgerows and garden vegetation, while the converter station would be partially screened by intervening tree cover. While the views of walkers would be more open, the converter station would still be seen set behind the intervening tree cover.
29.6.9 Viewpoint 6 – PRoW Burstall 9, near Hill Farm 163. The viewpoint description, value, susceptibility and sensitivity of this viewpoint are described in relation to the impacts during construction in section 29.5.5. The sensitivity of the view in respect of walkers was found to be medium.
29.6.9.1 Magnitude of change 164. The converter station is located 0.67km from the viewpoint. This viewpoint gives a direct, side-on, view of the building such that it would be seen at its full length and appear as a more prominent component than the existing sub-station. The converter station would appear large in scale, extending above the height of the adjacent trees, although continuing to be of a comparable height to the woodland to the left.
165. The magnitude of change would be medium to high. The converter station would make a notable addition to the view, seen as a large structure, at variance with the rural character on account of its scale and mass, albeit associated with the existing energy infrastructure.
29.6.9.2 Significance of the impact 166. The impact on this view, as a result of the converter station, would be significant. This finding relates principally to the close proximity of the viewpoint to the proposed project, rather than any special sensitivity attached to the viewers or PRoW as a visual receptor.

Viewpoint 7 – Burstall Village Viewpoint description
167. This viewpoint is located on the minor road which connects Burstall Village to Burstall Hall, to the immediate north of the village of Burstall. Views from within the village are largely screened by the intervening tree cover and other vegetation in the
