compounds, or the removal of hedgerows along visible linear extents. Despite the short-term duration and reversibility of these impacts, the scale of change they would give rise to within the localised area would redefine the baseline character and therefore constitute a significant impact.
186. Significant impacts would arise in relation to two localised areas where hedgerow removal would occur in the Fynn Valley to the north of Tuddenham St. Martin and the north of Little Bealings. Impacts would occur on the physical elements of the hedgerows, the landscape character of which they are an integral part, as well as the visual amenity of walkers on nearby PRoWs. Other significant impacts would occur in association with the construction works around the HDD compounds, including at the landfall location, where the visual amenity of walkers on nearby PRoWs and in one instance, of residents on the south side of Woodbridge, would be affected.
187. Once at the operational phase, there would be very little evidence of the landfall location or onshore cable route as the majority of the components for each would be buried underground, apart from intermittent kiosks, located discreetly at the jointing pits. The impacts of the landfall location and onshore cable route on all landscape and visual receptors during the operational phase would be not significant.
188. As it is likely that the components of the landfall location and onshore cable route would be left in-situ following decommissioning, then the impacts of this phase will also be not significant.
189. There will be no cumulative impacts in relation to the landfall location and onshore cable route.
