of scenic value and the view is typical of the wider agricultural landscape, lacking any special features or attributes. The value of the view is medium to low.
29.6.4.3 Susceptibility 135. The susceptibility of the road-users who may obtain this view, would be medium to low. This finding relates principally to the distant location of the proposed converter station which means that it would form only a minor component in the context of a wider view. For road-users, the view would be experienced whilst travelling at speeds in excess of 30mph and occur at an angle oblique to the road. The view would occur along a short section of the minor road such that its duration would be relatively short. Taking all these factors into account, the susceptibility of road-users to change in the view would be limited.
29.6.4.4 Sensitivity 136. The combination of the ratings for the value of the view and the susceptibility of viewers to the potential change leads to a medium to low sensitivity.
29.6.4.5 Magnitude of change 137. The location of this viewpoint at a distance of 3.7km means that the converter station would appear as a relatively minor component in this view. Although the building is long and wide, it would be largely screened by the intervening tree cover along the ridge. While the roofline may be visible above the tree cover, its location next to the pylons helps to form an association and keep the impacts of larger scale developments clustered within a single location.
138. The magnitude of change would be medium to low on account of the distance between the viewpoint and the converter station and the limited extents to which it would be visible, whilst also taking into account the possibility of slightly fuller visibility during the winter months when the ridgeline trees would be bare.
29.6.4.6 Significance of the impact 139. The impact of the converter station on this view would be not significant. This takes into account the limited sensitivity of the viewpoint and the limited magnitude of change, both largely as a result of the distance of the viewpoint from the proposed project.
29.6.5 Viewpoint 2 – Flowton Village
29.6.5.1 Viewpoint description 140. This viewpoint is located on the south-west edge of Flowton Village and is representative of the views of road-users on the minor road / National Cycle Route (NCR) 48, residents in adjacent properties and walkers on PRoWs. There is no
