The flight direction recorded for this species was notably in a south westerly direction during all bio-season. A summary rose diagram is presented in Appendix G. There was no pattern in the distribution of black-headed gulls throughout the East Anglia THREE site and 4km buffer. A summary spatial distribution map is provided in Appendix H.
5.3.14 Little Gull
5.3.14.1 Abundance estimates 79.
Little gulls were recorded in the September 2011, March, April and May 2013 surveys (Table 5.21). Numbers peaked duringMay 2013 when an estimated 597 (37 – 1,694) individuals were present within the East Anglia THREE site.Monthly abundance estimates for the East Anglia THREE site with a 4km buffer are presented in Appendix C, as the raw count data and confidence limits for the monthly abundance estimates.
