APPENDIX G: SPECIES-SPECIFIC FLIGHT DIRECTION ROSE DIAGRAMS
Appendix G presents species specific flight direction rose diagrams to illustrate the flight directional data of birds within the East Anglia THREE Site and 4km Buffer. Seabirds with a sufficient number of records per biological season are presented in four separate rose diagrams to allow for the direction of flight to be observed in each of the biological seasons. Where a species was only recorded in very small numbers a single rose diagram presents all observations during all biological seasons. Similarly, rose diagrams are only presented where birds were recorded in flight, so for instance as no flying guillemots were recorded in May to July and no flying razorbills were recorded in May-October there are no Rose diagrams presented for these biological seasons. The red line represents the mean angle of the data and the arcs either side represent the confidence limits of the mean (95%).
