Spatial distribution maps are provided in Appendix H for each bio-season, though gannet showed no patterns or preference to specific areas within the East Anglia THREE site or 4km buffer.
5.3.8 Arctic Skua 63. A total of five Arctic skuas were recorded during the September 2011 survey within the East Anglia THREE site and 4km buffer. Of the four birds recorded in flight, two were flying at potential collision height (22 – 176m). A single Arctic skua was recorded sitting on the water.
5.3.9 Long-tailed Skua 64. A single long-tailed skua was recorded during the September 2011 survey within the East Anglia THREE site. This bird was recorded flying at potential collision height (22 – 176m).
5.3.10 Great Skua
5.3.10.1 Abundance estimates 65.
Great skuas were recorded during the September 2011, October 2011 and September 2012 surveys (Table 5.13). Numbers peaked during October 2011 with an abundance estimate at 113 (32 - 194) individuals within the East Anglia THREE site.
