G3 first reported upon Futurelogic’s TableXchange from the floor of G2E 2008. Its development since has been a procrastinated experience, but the acquisition of FutureLogic by JCM Global has not only accelerated development, but brought the system to completion, with a saleable product at ICE 2016.

TableXchange Plus is an intelligent, secure table drop box solution from JCM Global, which can be fitted to roulette and card tables to validate notes and (optionally) tickets by the croupier via an interactive screen. Te modular design provides operators with the option to start with the secure drop box module and introduce TITO at a later stage, if required. Each Buy In and Cash Out transaction is stored in real time within the TBX+ Server allowing the casino to track all notes from the time they are validated at the table by the TBX+ Secure Drop Box.

“It’s a secure drop box solution for the 21st Century,” stated JCM Global’s Payam Zadeh. “While the rest of the gaming floor is securely monitored utilising online casino management systems, table operations are still based on manually driven process. TableXchange Plus provides the casino operator with an online monitoring solution for Table Drop Box, allowing them to automate and securely their table operation. Te TBX+ solution records Table Drop down to the denomination of bills accepted at the table, ensuring the operator receives an accurate daily win figure.”

Te hardware driving TableXchange Plus is also modular, with a variety of options adapting to the table layout, with a side-box applicable for certain table configurations and games, but with the same functionality guaranteed throughout. Te information on the touchscreen panel is also designed to be picked up by security cameras, for added protection. “TableXchange Plus TITO module also provides additional operational efficiencies with the reduction the volume of chips moving around the floor. Casinos using this system don’t need to open the cage on slow days, as the ticketing system handles all the transactions instead,” concludes Mr. Zadeh. “We are excited to finally roll out this innovative product to the market in 2016.”

Merkur Gaming presented its Merkurstar at ICE 2016 for the first time. Utilising this innovative upright cabinet, Merkur Gaming set new design standards and further extended its product offering. Tis newest member of the Merkur product family is based on many years’ research and development work. From both a visual perspective and also in terms of player comfort, it is clear that Merkurstar represents Merkur Gaming’s core values and reflects the company’s commitment to quality and innovation.

Just as it did in Las Vegas during G2E 2015, Merkurstar attracted a wave of attention at ICE. Te upright cabinet has been customised for the player to guarantee a relaxed playing experience thanks to the ergonomic layout of the screens and button panel.

Additionally, Merkurstar’s excellent acoustics, high resolution HD technology on two 24-inch glossy screens adds to the entertainment factor. It is not just the players who will enjoy the user- friendliness of the Merkurstar, however, as Merkur kept ease of use for technicians forefront throughout the design process. Te front of the cabinet can be raised by means of a folding mechanism that makes it simple to access the technology components in even the smallest spaces.

Heading up the Merkur international team is Athanasios ‘Sakis’ lsaakidis, Senior Director International Sales for Merkur Gaming, and he commented: “2015 was a great year for Merkur Gaming on all levels, particularly the work that has been done to leverage our years of market knowledge, our experience and our skills into new market entrances around the globe. Now, starting with our increased presence at ICE Totally Gaming, we will continue to move forward with an even greater determination as we bring the Merkur Gaming experience to new territories and new customers.”

Differentiating its games from its traditional European ‘volatile’ games has proven to be the key to unlocking international market success. Injecting entertainment and time-on-device game-play from its 13 game design teams scattered across the world, Merkur Gaming’s

design talent pool draws from Austria, Germany, Australia, India, the Philippines and the UK, with a soon to be established US team adding to the mix with US-centric games. Combined with a series of third-party game developers, Merkur Gaming now has strength and depth to provide every type, kind and colour of software development to suit market requirements.

“It’s about creating the right blend,” states Merkur Gaming’s David Orrick at the ICE show in London. “Merkur Gaming has been very successful placing German-style games in UK machines, while Blueprint’s UK machines have proved to be the perfect formula for the Spanish street sector. One of our key strengths is our ability to draw from our local market experience and from a massive 400+ library of games.”

Charles Hiten, CEO of Merkur Gaming Americas added: “We have, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our subsidiary companies across Latin America, the ideal springboard from which to now progress our plans for a timely market entry into North American markets. Representatives from our subsidiaries across Latin America will be present at ICE and are looking forward to meeting the many visitors from that continent that will visit the show. Tis is truly an exciting time for Merkur Gaming as we move to expand and enhance our business not just in the Americas, but around the globe.”
