Sales for its horse racing sector Loto Turf and Quintuple Plus saw sales of €6.69m. Sports betting is 3.59 per cent of its business and horse racing 0.08 percent whilst the remainder is governed by its lottery sector. The Loteria Nacional has a total of 11,000 sales points.
According to a report by Codere the number of sports betting clients has increased and in 2013 2.8 percent of Spanish resident took part in sports betting.
The sports betting market in Spain has an 8.26 percent market share compared to other elements of gaming such as the Lottery with 35.72 percent, Slots (Maquina B) 31.79 percent, Casinos 9.66 percent, Bingo 6.56 percent and other types 8.01 percent.

In 2013 the amount gambled on the sports betting sector was €2.3bn compared to €1.3bn in 2012 and €401.8m in 2011.
REGIONAL AND MAIN LAWS

Madrid is the largest region for sports betting which saw a total amount gambled of €211.5m in 2013 and just over 39 million bets made and €170.1m dished out in prize money.
The Basque Country saw a a total of €185.1m collected in betting salons and online with just under 25 million bets and €158.3 in prize money.
