Scientists carry out experiments to find out more about the world around us and to find solutions for everyday problems. Experiments must be safe, accurate and repeatable to give results that are useful. To work safely in the school science laboratory you need to follow basic rules, understand the safety symbols used on chemicals and know how to use science equipment correctly.
