Ozark High School Chorale Amy Brammer, John Wilkins, Conductors
11:15 a.m.
The OHS Chorale is the top auditioned large vocal ensemble at Ozark High School. It is a mixed voice group, consisting of approximately 70 men and women, grades 10-12. Chorale students are actively involved in district and state ensembles and contests, and give four concerts per year in addition to various community performances and concert tours. Chorale is comprised of students from all walks of life, and is a close-knit community of wonderful young singers who love to create quality choral music together.
Amy Brammer is in her eleventh year of teaching, and seventh year at Ozark High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music education and master’s degree in choral conducting from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. John Wilkins is in his third year of teaching, and second year at Ozark High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Missouri Southern State University and his master’s degree in choral conducting from Missouri State University. Amy and John love teaching in the Ozark School District, and are both extremely excited about their first personal appearances at MMEA.
Wydown Middle School Orchetra Ann Geiler, Conductor
11:30 a.m.
The Wydown Middle School Orchestra is made up of 7th and 8th graders who attend Wydown Middle School in Clayton, Missouri. The 7th and 8th graders meet in separate classes every day for 40 minutes. Under the direction of Ann Geiler the Wydown 7th and 8th grade orchestra performed at the MMEA Conference and Festival Disney in 2006.
Ann Geiler, conductor of the Wydown Middle School Orchestra is in her 17th year in the School District of Clayton. She received her BME from Lindenwood University and her MME from the University of Missouri St. Louis. Ann has been active in professional music organizations throughout Missouri and the US, which promote music education. Ms. Geiler is Past-President of the Missouri Chapter of the American String Teachers Association.
