technology with your classroom music texts. Piper collaborates with her elective teaching partners during PLC time, and she will show how to create music lessons that will easily incorporate the core subject areas. A Network for Educator Effectiveness Unit of Instruction will be presented as well.
The Lee Expressive Arts Explorers, from Columbia, will perform. This general music ensemble of fourth and fifth graders incorporates Orff methods and world music drumming as they learn about musical styles from around the world. They will perform music from Africa, the Caribbean, and Japan, under the direction of Elizabeth Tummons.
West Music is generously providing the instrumentarium for Northwinds. They will carry Tim Wiegand’s publications, as well as many other general music resources. Please visit their booth in the exhibit hall. This year, some of our sessions will provide digital workshop handouts only. Northwinds has a dedicated Wi-Fi, so please bring your devices and be prepared to download or link to online resources. The language of music is alive and well in Missouri, and we will communicate soon. See you at Tan-Tar-A!
