January 26. We will be having two pre-conference sessions that afternoon. Dr. Cynthia Briggs from Maryville University will present “Music Therapy Ideas for Music Education: Enhancing Student Engagement.” The afternoon will conclude with Tricia Kidd, NAFME Southwest Division President, who will have us all dancing with “Put On Your Dancing Shoes: Folk Dancing and Movment for All Ages.” Consider joining us to start your conference experience early. Please remember there is an additional registration for this extra day of fun and learning.
Whether you are new to our profession or have been around for many years, there will be something for everyone at the 2017 conference. We are reminded each year that we are still learning and growing ourselves. Come to learn, grow and refresh yourself as a professional music educator. May we all come together in just a couple of months to do just that!
