Positioned on Maryland’s scenic Eastern Shore between the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay, Wicomico County is less than a three-hour drive from major metro areas in the Mid-Atlantic, including Baltimore, Washington, DC and Philadelphia, and about a 30-minute drive from the resort town of Ocean City, Maryland.


Wicomico County is also home to the Salisbury-Ocean City: Wicomico Regional Airport, serviced by American Airlines and just 10 minutes from downtown Salisbury.


The county's versatile centerpiece is the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, which provides a 30,000-square foot arena, 10,000-square foot auxiliary area, 10 meeting rooms and in-house catering, plus locker rooms and spectator seating for up to 6,000 people. The center also plays host to top-notch entertainment throughout the year, as well as a wide variety of conventions, trade shows, meetings and social events.


what’sNEW The Wicomico Youth and Civic Center is presently undergoing a $3.5 million renovation that is expected to be finished


in the late summer or early fall of 2017. Completed renovations so far include new seating and a fresh color scheme of paint in the Normandy Arena. Other renovations that have taken place in the building include wall treatment and painting, carpet installation, lighting fixture replacement and ceiling tile replacement.
