This coming May, Gaylord National Resort will open a new $25 million free- standing waterfront ballroom called RiverView Ballroom. The 16,000-square foot space will be the only venue of its kind in the Capital Region, offering 270- degree floor-to-ceiling views of the Potomac River, Woodrow Wilson Bridge and Old Town Alexandria. It also will offer two outdoor terraces that will pro- vide an additional 10,000-square feet of function space.

This dramatic venue is being dubbed the region’s first infinity ballroom, as its views make it appear as though the building is on top of the river. Designed with a unique suspension roof, the ballroom offers a column-free, open space that will not obstruct attendees’ views.
