In February 2016, the Chesapeake Brew Pub opened at the site of the former Crush Winehouse in Annapolis, offering Eastern Shore brews, downhome food and local news. The pub hosts monthly local artists, guest chef dinners and tap takeovers from other breweries.
In April 2016, the Caliente Grill in Annapolis completed an expansion that doubled its seating capacity from 65 to 130 at this family-run restaurant. The renovations included creation of a semi-private room for up to 24 people. Another popular new addition is an outside, pet-friend- ly dining area that also seats 24.
Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant opened in May of 2016 at the Annapolis Towne Centre and offers a signature menu with a selection of dishes designed to pair perfectly with wines created in Cooper’s Hawk’s private winery.
Rams Head Dockside debuted in July 2016 in Glenn Burnie, Maryland along the Patapsco River. It can accommodate more than 400 guests, has dockage for boats, and features live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Rice Workshop has been serving Vietnamese street food to its patrons since it opened in Annapolis in July of 2016. The independent, quick casual, family-operated restaurant features sandwiches and rice paper wraps as well as rice and noodle bowls accompanied by a host of fresh herbs and vegetables. The restaurant has both gluten free and vegetarian menu options.
Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse held a grand opening of its new restaurant at the Village of Odenton Station in September of 2016. The 8,600-square foot restaurant features an open dining room, banquet rooms, an outdoor patio and large bar.

URBurger opened in Edgewater in June 2016, combining quick service and casual dining to create a hybrid, fast/casual restaurant with a lively atmosphere.
