Home2™ Suites by Hilton Arundel Mills BWI Airport held a grand opening in September 2016. The new Hanover- based extended stay property features spacious suites with flexible layout options. The property offers free Wi-Fi, a media hub and the “Working Wall,” a moveable work/dining table.


In September 2016, the Cordish Companies broke ground on the new $200 million flagship Live! Hotel at Maryland Live! Casino adjacent to Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover. The 350,000-square foot property will fea- ture a 17-story hotel tower, making it the tallest building in Anne Arundel County. The newest addition to Maryland’s largest gaming facility will feature 310 luxury guest rooms; a state-of-the-art event center with a 1,500-seat concert venue; meeting spaces; new dining options; and a day spa/salon. It is the first luxury hotel in the nation to carry the Live! brand.


Also last September, the Cordish


Companies launched Live! Lofts, which is being born from a newly acquired hotel property also in Hanover, just min- utes from the Live! Casino and Hotel and BWI Airport. In early 2017, the building will undergo an extensive $3 million renovation that will transform it into a property of eclectic elegance, fea- turing first-class accommodations, amenities, service levels and décor.


The hotel complex currently features 250 rooms, including more than 100 suites; a heated indoor swimming pool and jet spa; dining in The Loft Grill; cocktails in The Lounge; and a variety of 24-hour amenities like complimentary shuttle service to select locations. Approximately 3,400-square feet of function space is available for custom meetings and events.


The newly renovated Homewood Suites by Hilton Baltimore BWI reopened in


April 2016 after a $4 million project that included the renovation of its 147 guest rooms, public spaces, business center and its more than 1,200-square feet of meeting space.


Also, last April the 127-room Hyatt Place Baltimore/BWI Airport announced the completion of a major renovation and refresh to its lobby and front desk, guest rooms, swimming pool, fitness center, and its 1,170-square feet of high-tech conference space.


In February of 2016, the 133-suite SpringHill Suites Baltimore/BWI com- pleted a $3 million renovation of its guest rooms, public spaces, business, center, and 24-hour market.


In October, the nonprofit Annapolis Green began making its meeting space at 92 Maryland Avenue available for seated meetings for up to ten people and stand-up receptions for up to 25
