According to Wood, “We are booking more meetings and conventions now than we did just a few short years ago. The future looks extremely bright because of all the developments we’ve seen from our hotel and casino part- ners who have added additional meet- ing space to their facilities."
Another significant development in Atlantic City has been the addition of a $5million conference center at Resorts Casino Hotel, which also debuted in September of 2015. The space boasts 15,000-square feet spread over 12 rooms.
Tropicana has undergone $100 million in renovations since 2015, including boardwalk facade enhancements, hotel room upgrades and expansion throughout the property. Its multimil- lion-dollar AtlantiCare Life Center fea- tures themost advanced gymfacility in Atlantic City,and Tropicana also recent- ly announced the addition of three new restaurants by famed Iron Chef Jose Garces.

Okatshe is a playful, modernized take on a traditional Japanese izakaya with a setting that transports guests to the streets of Tokyo.
Bar Olón is the third restaurant addi- tion to Tropicana and features an inter- active 60-seat double-sided bar and
lounge.Situated between the other two Garces additions, it features a large, walk-around bar amid amodern beach vibe that offers a combination of vary- ing seating types for accommodating individuals as well as small
groups.An elevated platform with a tropical mural wall-hanging backdrop serves as a stage for live entertainment.
The Claridge hotel re-opened in 2014 as a fully restored historic hotel with 483 renovated guest
rooms.The proper- ty recently announced its new brand, becoming a Radisson Hotel. Having added 15,000-square feet to its confer- ence space in 2016, Claridge boasts a total of 100,000 square feet of meeting and event
space.The hotel also opened Atlantic City’s first rooftop bar, VUE, which features expansive views and space for outdoor or indoor events.
Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa added an outdoor swimming pool,a beer gar- den and a new eatery last summer. A new nightclub, Premier, opened at Borgata in 2016, as well. Development continues with the addition of the $11 million Central Conference Center, which adds 18,000-square feet to Borgata’s existing offerings for meet- ings. The new conference center “com- plements our event space, allowing us to accommodate more weddings, spe- cial occasions, trade shows, business expos and more," asserts Mark Vanderwielen, vice president of hotel and property operations for Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa.
For larger conventions and events, the Atlantic City Convention Center is home to 486,600-square feet of contigu- ous exhibit space, 45 meeting rooms totaling over 109,100-square feet, and 1,400 parking spaces on site (with an
