The Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Coun- cils presents its annual Showcase Conference. Selected artists perform for arts councils buy- ers from across Sask. and other delegates, and most often receive show bookings as a result. Now in its 48th year, OSAC is pleased to offer the very best of performing and visual talent. Successful applicants are selected by a jury based on quality of performance, profession- alism, marketability and fee structure as well as impact on the audience. Potential bookings with Stars for Saskatchewan (performances geared primarily for adults but are family friendly, 90 minutes in length) and Koncerts for Kids (performances for families or children, 60 minutes in length). JLSC is an international songwriting contest that began in 1997. It is open to amateur and professional songwriters who submit entries in any one of 12 categories. There are 2 session deadlines per year, with 72 Finalists, 24 Grand Prize Winners, 12 Lennon Award Winners and 1 “Song of the Year.” You don’t need a profes- sional recording. The Millennial Edition TV series on Access 7 Communications, Sask. is looking for musical guests to feature. Suitable artists can be from any genre, but need to be able to perform acoustically on-set, and should be primar- ily between the ages of 18-30 (as the series is about Millennials in Sask.). Selected artists would be interviewed and perform 1-2 songs on the show.
