RELEASED SASKATCHEWAN ALBUMS & EPS

WAITRESS: Delay Our Time Janice Weber and Kalon Beaudry came together as the duo Waitress after their former band, Foggy Notions, broke up. Cit- ing their love of dreamy shoegaze pop as inspiration for the shift in direction, the duo presents their debut full-length. This new incarnation sees the music and production diving deeper into the vintage synth, bass and reverb sounds: “The Foggy Notions were a very much a power-pop band and the more we went down that road, the more I wanted to veer into more atmospheric stuff…Waitress allows us to really get into the sounds and textures that we really love”. – Beaudry. Recorded at: home studio, Saskatoon. Produced by: Janice Weber and Kalon Beaudry. More: www.facebook.com/waitress666

THIRD ION: Biolith Featuring former members of Devin Townsend Project, Into Eternity, and Annihilator, Third Ion is the product of a mutual love of prog, video games, and science. “Biolith is easily one of the most complex albums I’ve ever reviewed...The usage of clean vocals throughout the album alone makes this a league or two above most of the rest. Biolith’s bewildering magic is thanks to a group effort by all four members who flourish on every bar of every song they’ve written on this album.” – Phil Lisorri, metalnationradio.ca. Recorded at: Blue Door, Regina; Audio Addiction Studio, Winnipeg MB; Creative Studio, Van- couver BC. Produced by: Justin Bender and Aaron Edgar. More: www.thirdion.com
