Artists will be considered for future dates at JCMH as well as various other venues throughout the city. Junction City has a 150 person capacity room with adjustable seating. They have a killer sound system and knowledgeable techs as well as an outstanding bar staff. Chicago’s Miller Lite Beer Garden at Navy Pier has slots for bands to play for the summer 2017 season. Selected acts are compensated. Located on the East End of Chicago’s Navy Pier, The Miller Lite Beer Garden is a seasonal, outdoor destination spot which hosts thou- sands of visitors each month. It features live music Wednesdays-Sundays from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Navy Pier is a not-for-profit originally opened as a ship- ping and recreational facility in 1916, located on Lake Michigan. It is the top leisure destina- tion in the Midwest, drawing nearly nine mil- lion visitors annually. Artists who are already planning to be on tour through the region are invited to apply. Applications for the third season of Creative City Centre’s Empty Room Series are invited. The series is a partnership between the Cre- ative City Centre, SaskMusic and CBC Radio in Saskatchewan. Selected artists are recorded, both video and audio, in the empty Hague Gallery at the Creative City Centre. The audio track may be aired on CBC Saskatchewan, and the video will be posted on the Creative City Centre’s YouTube Channel. Creations are avail- able for artists to use as they see fit to pro- mote their careers.

Manitoba Showcase is a 3-day cultural ex- travaganza geared towards artists, commu- nity arts councils and cultural organizations, concert and event promoters, and all levels of professionals in fields of music, arts, and edu- cation. The conference revolves around live showcases where a selection of artists per- form for presenters looking to book shows for their home communities. Manitoba Arts Network coordinates block booked tours and performances throughout the province based on interest generated at the Showcase event. Many Showcase artists have found that they receive up to four years of ongoing bookings based on a single slot at Showcase. Perform- ing artists of all disciplines and genres are en- couraged to apply. (ie. music, dance, theatre, musical theatre, magic, comedy).

Now in its 40th year, Alberta Showcase brings touring artists together with community presenters searching for artists for special events, concert and performance series, and community celebrations. Every October the Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta brings to- gether presenters from across Alberta who are searching for performing artists who will tour in their communities. They are looking for a diverse, challenging line-up of artists with broad audience appeal. Over 40 artists will perform their best work throughout the week- end. Presenters will have the opportunity to meet these performing artists in the Contact Room, a trade fair where the business of the art happens.
