business2business Latest Guinot franchise salon opens News in Brief New catalogue is Bliss

Bliss have launched their new Pro Tan and Fiesta Sun catalogue, featuring a taste of some exciting new UV lotion releases ahead of the new tanning season including the new luxurious Top Shelf Collection.

Guinot’s latest franchise salon, The Guinot Salon Earlesfield, was recently opened by celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott.

The former hair salon has been transformed over a three-month period into a Guinot franchise by Justyna Rostek, who was formerly manager at Guinot’s flagship salon in Albemarle Street, Mayfair.

Justyna told GN: “Having worked with the Guinot brand for so many years, I was excited when the franchise opportunity became a viable option for me. It has always been an ambition of mine to run my own salon, but it was a daunting prospect to go out alone and make a name for myself. It was because of this that I was attracted to the idea of becoming a franchisee, as I will be part of an established network that receives ongoing support and advice from a dedicated franchise team.”

Strictly star Ainsley cut the ribbon alongside Justyna and Mayor of Wandsworth, Nicola Nardelli (pictured).

U.S. microbead ban

The United States have banned the use of microbeads in personal cosmetic products.

The Microbead-Free Waters Act 2015 prohibits the use of tiny plastic beads used in products such as skin exfoliators which go on to pollute waterways including rivers, lakes and oceans.

Yorkshire-based recycling firm BigGreen.co.uk are leading a campaign to ban the use of microbeads in the UK and urge manufacturers to use greener alternatives such as Apricot shells, Jojoba beans and Pumice.
